Shaken Beef

This has become a staple in our family! So easy and fast! I always make this dish this with calrose white rice and a salad or sliced cucumber and tomatoes.



-1.5 pounds of NY steak cut in small cubes size of small bite size pieces. photo photo

In a bowl mix:
-1 tablespoon of oyster sauce -2 cloves of minced garlic -1 tablespoon of fresh minced ginger -1 finely chopped shallot photo

-2 tablespoon of Yoshidas simmering sauce photo -1/2 teaspoon pepper -1 teaspoon fish sauce -1/2 teaspoon sesame oil -1/8 fresh kiwi - minced and becomes a purée. This tenderizes the meat. -oil for cooking -thickly sliced green onions

Mix in a bowl and add your cubed meat. Then wait 15 minutes to let it marinate.

Turn on the flame to high in a cast iron skillet, add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (any of your choice) and wait until it's hot.
photo I just happen to use coconut because I was out of olive oil. Add 1/2 of the meat and use a spatula and shake the meat until cooked. I cooked for 3-4 minutes. It all depends on how thick your cube meat are cut. As it turns brown and just before you're done, add thickly sliced green onions and stir to cook and then plate it and set aside.

Repeat to cook the rest. After I finish cooking the second batch, I combine the first batch with the second so it's hot. Then I re-plate. Enjoy!!
